Cambodia has a lot of residential care institutions also known as orphanages and 72% of these children staying in orphanages have living parents. There is no compulsory registration, some are registered but majority of these care institutions are not. Many foreigners who goes Cambodia visit orphanages as part of their itinerary. Some might not notice but the random visits that people do in these kinds of orphanages creates emotional damage in children.
