di Sandro Souladze Fiction 2016 27'

Tuta is a 17-year-old girl, who lives with her single father after mother's death in a small village of mountainous Georgia. The village gradually becomes deserted as the nature there is tough, ruthless and life there is very hard. Petite and literate Tuta, like the other villagers is also willing to leave her homeplace and to go to live on her own. However, after the death of her mother she feels responsible in front of her father and tries to help him in housekeeping. The disappointed father watches gradually depopulated village and realises that sooner or later his daughter will also leave. Father drowns his grief in alcohol which separates him from his daughter even more. Village inhabitants mainly follow livestock farming to survive but people are forced to slaughter cattle one by one because animals keep dying of an uncertain plague.
