Valdes

by Francesco Uboldi Documentary Italia/Italy 2008 1'

Fresh water is a basic need yet poorly accessible to the majority of the world's population. Besides its political implications, Africa's chronically inadequate distribution of this essential resource also raises enormous problems for life in general and for the economic growth of vast regions across the continent. Through the images of Valdés, a boy from a rural village in Cameroon, Uboldi clearly illustrates the importance of having a supply of fresh water.
