A group of actresses meet on stage to discuss the interpretation of a women-led government of a fictional country. Under the imminent threat from an enemy country that is building up its nuclear arms arsenal, the government meets in a Peace Room opposite a War Room, as seen in Doctor Strangelove. In preparing their decision on how to respond and go forward with their plans for unilateral disarmament, the government calls in expert consultants from real life: defense experts, soldiers, lawyers, peace and human rights activists, politicians. By bringing together real figures in an imaginary context and mixing scripted and improvised lines the performance illustrates what could happen if women led the world’s governments.
