NO JILE

An elderly man anchored to his homeland, has to struggle searching for water to survive. But today that is a losing battle. The old man is forced to leave his country, assuming all that this means, and become a climatic refugee. This is a short film, set against the backdrop of climate change and its consequent rise in temperatures, drought, loss of crops and climate migration. The story has two main readings as it is told in two aspects, one is the most obvious conflict of water scarcity and the second one, underlying and constant: the memories of the old man, of the happy life he used to have, that will be represented by past time evocations and flashbacks.
