Buongiorno Taranto
Storie ai confini della realtà

by Paolo Pisanelli Italy 2014 84'

Taranto is a city of conflicting tensions where earth, air and water are poisoned by the pollution from Europe's largest steel mill built in the midst of the city nearly 50 years ago. A militant web-based radio station gives voice to the anger and dreams of those living in an area which, as the film director states, "mirrors the degradation of Italy as it declines following the industrialization of the predominantly rural south, now caught up in open conflict between industry and the environment, identity and alienation, health and employment."
