Received a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. She is associate professor at the University of South Florida and teaches at the Patel College of Global Sustainability. Her interests include the environment, food and sustainability, cultural studies, and the media. She collaborates with the Gasparilla International Film Festival, Tampa Bay, Florida. She has published widely, including the title: Uno sguardo a Sud. Vent’anni di movimenti, storie, conflitti e trasformazioni nella città di Napoli. 1990- 2010 (Liguori Editore 2013). She holds conferences on food and has appeared in a TED Talk on food waste.
