Carlo Alberto Pinelli has made over 100 documentaries mainly for European TV on ethno-anthropological, historic, scientific, socio-political, naturalist and adventure themes. Titles to his credit include Hindu Kush (1961), Il dio sotto la pelle (1974) and Sahel ai confini della vita (1985). He currently teaches documentary filmmaking and documentary filmmaking for tourism at the Università degli Studi Suor Orsola Benincasa, Naples.Folco Quilici (b. Ferrara) made his directorial debut with the documentary Sesto continente (1953), a huge success with critics and audiences alike. He has worked on film and TV productions, and also as non-fiction, fiction and features writer. Titles to his credit include L'ultimo paradiso (1957), Dagli Appennini alle Ande (1959), Ti-koyo e il suo pescecane (1962), Oceano (1971), Il dio sotto la pelle (1974) and Cacciatori di navi (1992), adapted from his novel. An environmental activist, he founded Marevivo, an environmentalist association.
