An ode to the conflict between man and nature, an evocative journey combining the real and the surreal through the story of a powerful man and his unusual passion: uprooting centuries-old trees growing along the coast of Georgia and replanting them in his private garden. Many of the trees will grow high, becoming a feature of the landscape and the life of local communities, which must adapt to the change in their surroundings. In over two years of filming, the camera follows the tree replanting and depicts the needs and principles of modern Georgian society, reflecting on forced migration and that “uprooting” is more than a mere metaphor.
