In the forest surrounding the Abbey of Admont in Austria, a fir tree is cut down and sawed into boards, loaded on a freight train, trucked and shipped, and finally transported by hand to a mysterious place in the middle of the Amazonian rain forest. Thirteen panoramic, 360-degree shots to reveal the trajectory, but in the opposite direction, of one of the major commercial routes of raw material. A road movie conceived of as a meditation on the absurdity of the economic logic underlying modern globalization. A point of arrival and departure, two world views, one Western, the other animist, transformed and coupled together in a staging inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s Walden.
