Climate change has had a more dramatic effect on alpine forest ecosystems than elsewhere. This is why Giorgio Vacchiano, forest management expert, takes a sabbatical and returns to the forests of his childhood in the Aosta Valley, where his interest for plant life began. During his journey, he encounters other researchers and scientists who want to understand the changes taking place. Vacchiano has an important mission: to develop strategies to save the forests and aid in maintaining the benefits that they provide for humans and human survival on the planet.
