Moana was shot in the village of Satune, in the Savaii islands. The director comes back here to tell us the story of two families. We meet Lotto, the recognized village leader, and Sengato, living in the forest and trying to set up a plantation for his family. We also meet Pea, who was only a child in Moana. Now he in 84 and still lives in the same village. The film tells about the tropical island's everyday life, which seems to centre mainly around food.
