We have already proven that we are more than capable of devastating nature. At the same time, however, we are just as much capable of helping our landscape. We have to start "cleaning our mess" ... such as the logging tracks which it is impossible for us to use again as they have been completely eroded by water anyway. We keep on creating more and more new forest roads, which will be eroded and worn down to stone yet again. The soil that has been carried away by water will never return to the forests... We should also clean up the mess we have caused by compressing agriculturally used surfaces in order to minimize the production costs. Such compressed surfaces do not let rainwater through. Water then erodes the land and, for decades, fertile soil has been washed away into the oceans because of that. Fields are turning into barren areas. Yet no fertilization can make up for the absence of soil.
