Anush Hamzehian, born of an Italian mother and an Iranian father, worked as cameraman, journalist, radio speaker and screenwriter before making his directorial debut film in 2001, followed by other films including two documentaries on Mario Martone and Paolo Sorrentino. He is currently based in Paris.
