She began her career in journalism as free lance reporter before joining RAI in 1982 where she covered news events, then conducted in-depth news analyses for the program "Special Mixer", also as war correspondent. Using a video camera without a crew, she introduced video journalism to Italian TV audiences in 1991. She has taught this method in journalism schools. Taking up Giovanni Minoli's proposition to develop an innovative approach to TV journalism, she collaborated on the milestone program Professione Reporter. Winner of over 20 international awards, she currently conducts Report, on RAI's third channel.
