Marc Innaro

Journalist Italy

Born in 1961, in Naples, Italy, he was awarded a Cambridge University Proficiency in English certificate, attended the Aleksandr Pushkin Russian Language Institute, Moscow; earned a degree in modern foreign languages from the University Institute of Oriental Studies, Naples; worked as export traffic manage at the Agenzia Marittima Cargo Services srl, Naples, before entering journalism. In 1990 he joined the editorial department for foreign affairs of the RAI radio news channel. He was foreign correspondent for RAI in Moscow and Jerusalem, and currently holds the post in Cairo. With Giuseppe Bonavolontà he co-authored L’Assedio della Natività (2002), which appeared in Japanese, Russian and Arab translation. He won the 2003 Saint Vincent prize for journalism for his TV reportage (TV7, TG1) on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the 2003 Santa Marinella literary prize.
