Born in Milan in 1963, Mochi earned a degree in classical archaeology and became a professional journalist in 1991. She worked on the editorial staff of the monthly «Geodes» doing stories on archaeology, tourism and geopolitics in several different countries of Europe, Africa, and the United States. Since 1992 she has been on the editorial staff of the monthly magazine «Focus», in writing for the Culture section while continuing to cover socio-geographical and environmental issues. In 2000 she moved to Rome to join the editorial staff of «la Repubblica» where she participated in the realization of a new Science section of the weekly “Il Venerdi”, for which she coordinates the pages and writes about archaeology, ecology and bioarchitecture.
