He lives and works in both Trento and Torino. As a journalist for «La Repubblica» he writes mostly on mountain matters. He has written for many important alpine magazines and has collaborated with Trento Film Festival. He is also a member of the jury for the ITAS prize for mountain literature and writes a monthly column in «Montagna 360» on the collecting of old books on mountain lore. He is the author of K2. Uomini, esplorazioni, imprese published by DeAgostini for the 50th anniversary of the Italian ascent of the second highest mountain in the world. He has himself ascended and descended (often on skis) many of the world's peaks.
