Micha Peled was born and raised in Israel and is one of the few people ever to emigrate to the United States by hitchhiking. He worked at several trades before becoming a filmmaker in 1992. His first documentary, Will My Mother Go Back to Berlin? won him several awards in Europe and the US. He has made and produced numerous documentaries for TV (PBS, CNBC, Channel Four, ARTE). His films include Inside God's Bunker, You Me Jerusalem, and Store Wars: When Wal-Mart Comes to Town, which won the Golden Gate Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival.
