Michel Fuzellier

Director, illustrator, screenwriter, producer France-Italy

Born in Grenoble in France, Michel Fuzellier has been living in Milan for several years where he divides his time between animated filmmaking, illustrations and teaching. In 1980 he founded an independent production house, the QuickSand Studio, with Walter Cavazzuti, and made about 300 advertisement films for which he received numerous international acknowledgements. He has collaborated on feature films such as Volere volare by Maurizio Nichetti for which he created the special effects, La Gabbianella e il Gatto, Momo and Opopomoz by Enzo d’Alò, for which he was set designer. He illustrates children’s books and for years he has taught the animation course at the NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) of Milan. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Selection Committee of the Annecy Festival. He is a founding member of the Associazione Italiana Illustratori and Cartoon Italia; since 2007 he has been President of ASIFA Italia.
