Lucia Rikaki

Producer Greece

Born in Pireus, Greece in 1961, she studied History of Art, Graphic Design, Cinema and Photography. In 1984 she founded the production house called Orama Films, which makes shorts and documentaries on art and theatre, while in 2000 she set up Tricky Trick Films, that focuses on full-length fiction films. In 1995 she created the 104 Art Theater Stage, and became its manager, adapter, text writer and director. She started The Comedy Club, the first and only stage completely set aside for cabaret in Greece, for which she worked until 2004. The same year she helped start, and became artistic director of the Rhodes International Film+Visual Arts Festival, the only one of its kind on the Greek and Mediterranean culture scene. During the Thessaloniki International Film Festival she was involved in setting up and organizing of the Balkan Script Fund. She also acts as secretary to the Greek Film Directors Union and is President of the European Producers network, as well as member of the cinematographic council in the Ministry for National Culture.
