Tommaso D'Elia and Alessandro Pesce, the former a photographer and journalist who has covered Afghanistan, Indonesia, and Guatemala, the latter an architect, have collaborated on other works, including Polveri di Giordania (2003). Both have lengthy experience living and working in Latin America. D'Elia has directed a weekly journal in Brazil since 1985, while Pesce has lived in Mexico for 12 years. D'Elia's last film, Calle Miguel Claro 1359 has been awarded.
