After earning a degree in history, she worked as a journalist for Cine 21, one of orea’s most popular weekly film magazines, from 1997 to 2003. She then wrote film reviews for magazines and newspapers. Between 2003 and 2004, she was a member of a special committee under the Korean Film Council responsible for organizing a Korean animated film retrospective at the 2004 Annecy International Film Festival. Specialized in animation and film music, she was a member of the advisory committee for cinema-related TV programmes and is a regular guest speaker on a film and music corner of the EBS (Educational Broadcasting System) radio show. After studying film and visual media history in
the U.K., she has worked since 2006 as the programmer of the Green Film Festival, Seoul, Korea’s first environmental film festival, and Green Archive, both organized by the Korea Green Foundation.
