James P. Sullivan, also known as Sulley, and his assistant Mike Wazowski live in Monstropoli, a parallel universe inhabited by all types of monsters threatened by a serious energy crisis. Since combustible fuel is produced by the screams of frightened children, there is the need to intensify the work of the employees of Monsters & Co who enter children's bedrooms by night to collect their screams. But a sudden turn of events will force the company workers to search their conscience and rethink the company's energy production model.
