The women of the earth are a group of new generation farmers in southern Italy. These farmers, livestock raisers, and educators have created a new lifestyle based on the production of biological food and the creation of a local and global network of farmers. Five stories recount how each woman changed her relationship with consumption and her surroundings, her return to the land, and the creation of a self-sustaining system. Doris, Mariapia, Nanà, Marialuisa, and Maura talk about the reasons for their decision, which was strongly tied to an intimate transformation, and which today, more than ever, is essential for living in harmony with the world.
