Alavaro Munoz Rodriguez studied at the Arcos Arts and Communication Professional Institute in Santiago. His graduation work was the short film Forbidden Birds (2004). He then directed Dos icebergs en Tokio (2008), awarded at the ShotShorts Film Festival in Japan.
