Politician and feminist, with a degree in literature and philosophy and a postgraduate degree in sociology, since the 1980s she has been involved in the anti-nuclear movement and political ecology. After joining the Green Party (symbolized by the smiling sun), she was president of the Green Parliamentary group throughout the 1990s and 2000, working to strengthen the Green’s position in Europe, and parity councilor for the Province of Turin, while continuing her work in the women’s and the green movement.
