Francesco Cannavà earned a degree in Communication Sciences and attends film direction courses at NUCT. He won the 2007 Taormina Film Festival award, the Nastri d'Argento, and the SNGC award for the short fiction Red Line, presented at the Tribeca Film Festival among other festivals. Since 2008 he has made documentaries such as Erytros ... le parole dell'esilio and C'era una volta un Campo Rom.
