A chemical engineer trained at the Technische Universität, Chemnitz, Germany, he worked for the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and the Politecnico di Milano. He carries out research in carbon processes and works on community energy projects. He is a member of the technical commission of Melendugno (LC) for monitoring the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).
