Karel Prokop started working for the cinema in 1980 with a "submar ine" detective film. Since 1988 he has received many prizes for his documentaries: Le vieil homme e le desert (1988), Prague 48-68-88 (1990), Objectif canopee (1992), Les volcans sous la mer (1998).
