The Siberian tiger is the largest species of big cats. Averaging 400 lbs and 10 feet long, with a head the size of a human rib cage, it is the most perfect land predator on earth. Of the 500 animals present in the Far East at the end of the Perestroika, only 350 descendants survive today, but the truth is, nobody really knows what is happening in the taiga, the natural habitat of this magnificent species at high risk of extinction.
