Via Carlo Feltrinelli, on the southeastern outskirts of Milan, between the eastern ring road and an archery range, is a street flanked by white houses: the "White" of Rogoredo, a low-income housing development that went up in 1986 and is home to 150 families. It is named for the asbestos siding covering the buildings. Oscar, Paolo, Elena and Graziella form the core of a citizen's committee that has been working to inform the residents of the risk of asbestos and fighting a battle with local agencies to have the asbestos removed. After 24 years, it seems the battle has finally been won. <%YOUTUBE=ZIiES3BFSBo%>
