Video Series on Youth Problems
Documentary Italia 2002

Films made by middle school and high school students. This year CinemAmbiente has expanded the youth portion of its program with an experimental section dedicated to films made by students mostly from local middle and high schools. Thanks to sponsorship by the Provincial Council of Students in Torino, we're pleased to present this Video Series on Youth Problems, where kids speak out through cinema, work groups and creative expression. The focus is on youth problems in terms of fitting in and understanding the cultural paradoxes that regulate the world they live in. They examine the experiences of past generations, future expectations, encounters with foreign cultures and difficulties in integration, and the emergence of new meeting points for today's youth, as reflection on the environment has broadened to include the social context kids are forced to live and grow in.
