Northern Patagonia and its shale gas reserves are a new Eldorado for José Luis. To earn a living on a steady salary in Añelo, he challenges the powerful and the realities of the gas mining businesss, while area residents see their lives upset by the spread of oil companies. Pampa is reluctant to rent his land to the fracturing companies; Relmu, a Mapuche native, tries to stop the expansion of well drilling and takes on a huge legal battle; Alfredo, a fruit farmer, falls victim to a financial swindle and loses everything. Forced to take bold decisions for their future, they first have to rethink their priorities.
