La città  bianca

The White Town
by Tommaso Ausili 2013 17'

Eternit is the registered trademark of a brand of fiber cement patented in 1901 and the name of the Belgian multinational company that makes it. The company opened a factory in 1917 in Casale Monferrato. For decades the Eternit factory emitted asbestos dust into the atmosphere, leading to the death of 1600 people. A tragic story that ended a century later in a criminal trial sentence that made history.
