This film explores stretches of glacier- b o rn water, lakes and rivers, as the by-ways of civilization. There's the Po River, and the people that inhabit the famous cities along its course, which leads to the Po River Delta and its Wildlif e Refuge. The Arno and the Tiber lead us to the discovery of Florence and Rome, respectively. Those two rivers reflect diverse developments in histor y and art, absolute values sculpted in their br idges, aqueducts and fountains. Le acque is part of the five-film series L'Italia infinita.
