A chance meeting in the pristine forests of Ain, a quick exchange of glances, a kindling of mutual interest that will go far beyond simple curiosity ... thus begins the friendship between a little girl and a fox. Their bond forms slowly as the girl patiently wins the animal's trust and saves it from a pack of wolves. In turn, the fox helps the girl find her way out of the forest by night. Their friendship ends when the girl brings the fox into her world, where the fox cannot live confined by civilization and so flees back to the forest. Drawing on classic storylines from Walt Disney and Antoine de Saint- Exupéry, Jacquet's narrative has the lyricism and delicacy of a fable about the relationship between man and nature.<%YOUTUBE=fueTkO0LVlI%>
