La principessa e l'aquila

The Eagle Huntress
by Otto Bell 2016 87'

Among the Mongolian nomad families that return every summer to the Altai mountains is that of Aisholpan. Member of an ancient Kazakhs tribe that trains eagles, the 13-year-old is keen to follow in her ancestors'footsteps and participate in the annual Festival of the Royal Eagle. With her father's help she learns a trade reserved for males and trains a young eagle of her own. Based on a real-life story, the film poetically tells of how a determined young woman realized her dreams.
