Earth to Earth - Natural Burial and the Church of England

Terra alla Terra - La sepoltura naturale e la Chiesa d'Inghilterra
by Sarah Thomas 2011 30'

Natural burial refers to the practice by which a body is buried without inhibiting its decomposition, thus allowing it to enter into symbiosis with the environment and produce ecological benefit. In 1993, the first area set aside for natural burial was in Carlisle in the north of England near the border with Scotland. Sarah Thomas went to Barton Glebe, inaugurated in 2000 near Cambridge, England, to interview people more or less connected with the burial site and to find out about this new way of dealing with final matters. <%YOUTUBE=bBITBUd3YVc%>
