Snowflake, a white baby gorilla found in the jungle by a band of hunters that killed its band and mother, is cared for by a primatologist before being transferred to a zoo in Spain. But because of its white fur, it is ostracized by the other gorillas. Together with its friend Miguel, a reed panda, it escapes the zoo to find the Witch of the North and ask her to make his fur black. The film mixes live action and digital animation. The story is based on the real-life story of the only known albino gorilla found in Guinea in 1966 which became the mascot of the Barcelona Zoo where it lived until its death in 2003.
