This contains two medium-length films: Regards sur la folie and La feÌ‚te prisonnieÌ€re. It is an insight into every-day life at the psychiatric hospital of Saint-Alban, in LozeÌ€re. The camera crew comes directly in contact with the hospital reality, getting the doctors also involved and critically discussing the therapeutic methods. The film was taken with direct sound-recording by the "˜queÌbeÌcois' cameraman and director, Michel Brault, one of the most important names in the "˜direct cinema' overseas.
