Perù: infanzia negata

by Adriano Zecca Documentary Italia, Svizzera 2002 30'

In Peru, day after day children's dreams are spoiled by hunger, poverty and disease. More than two million children there are currently forced to work to help suppor t their families. Indeed,Peru is the only Latin American country to permit children under the age of twelve to work. This dramatic reality is further exasperated by the influx of pover ty stricken masses into the big coastal cities, especially Lima, the capital, in a desperate search for jobs and survival.
