Stefania Senno was just over 2 years old when she was enveloped by the toxic cloud released by the Icmesa plant, Seveso. Her body was severely disfigured by the resulting chloracne and irreversible chemical burns on her skin. The photographer Mauro Galligani took the photograph that became a symbol of the environmental disaster: Stefania crying, her face turned upwards, lesions covering her skin. In Specchio delle mie brame she openly talks about her past and future.
