Mia is a 10-year-old girl who lives with three elderly women in a village in South America. Her mother has long since died and her father works far away in the Amazon on the construction of a hotel complex. One night, Mia wakes up suddenly. In the fear that something has happened to her father, she sets off to find him, taking with her three amulets (a die, a feather, and a snail shell).
