Vita e debito
by Stephanie Black Documentary Usa 2001 86'

An eloquent and illuminating look at the disastrous effects of globalization in Jamaica, and the results of the economic policies f oisted onto developing nations by the IMF,the World Bank and other or ganizations. For the past twenty-five year s, in the name of "free market" Jamaicans have been struggling for their sur vival as conditions have become increasingly exploitative. Keeping in mind that the country celebrated its 40 year s of independence from Great Britain on August 6 of this year, the film explores the true nature of Jamaica, well beyond its wester n reputation as a vacation paradise . Music by Bob Mar ley, Ziggy Mar ley, Mutubaruka, and Peter Tosh mesmerizes viewer s and reinforces the political message.<%YOUTUBE=T0XSmbHMnK0%>
