by Manfred Karremann Documentary Germania 2001 10'

Today an endangered species in western Europe, the hare's main threat to sur vival there is organized hunting. In many European countries hares are captured live and shipped to France and Italy, where they are served up as prey to voracious hunters. This lucrative market, estimated at 10 million euros a year, provides hunters with victims fitted with expensive radarsensitive collars so that each and every hare can eventually be tracked down.
