La lucha de los campesinos ecologistas

The Struggle of the Campesino Environmentalists
by Carlos Perez Rojas Documentary Messico 2005 14'

The battle to protect the forests of the Sierra de Petatlán in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, has turned into prison and death for the ecologist farmers. Felipe Arreaga was arrested and unjustly accused of having killed the son of Bernardino Bautista, one the bosses that exploit the region's forest resources. Albertano Peñaloza, returning home with four of his sons, was caught in an ambush: he was injured but 2 of his sons were killed. Felipe Arreaga was acquitted after being proven innocent, but Peñaloza's case is still pending.
