The director give a first-person account of his family's long journey to Argentina, his birthplace, during the last wave of immigration from Piemonte in 1948. In this highly individual reconstruction, extracts from private memory overlapped with sequences of situations, places and impressions, combined with archive material run in slow motion, provide the framework for a subjective, emotion-charged analysis of the situation the piedmontese immigrants faced in their new country from the post WWII period to today, from Peronism to the economic collapse, through the dark years of military dictatorship.
