Lina is 70 years old and has always been a farmer. At dawn every morning, she leaves San Mauro Torinese, the strawberry-growing region, to bring her fresh produce to Porta Palazzo, Turin's central market and Europe's largest open-air market, where she has her own fruit and vegetable stall. Her life revolves around her house, her church, and her work. She has no children but five dogs and a husband who cannot persuade her to give up working. Then, one day, Hassan, a young Moroccan immigrant shows up asking for work.
