Life flows easily in Lawrence, Arkansas until radio and tv broadcasting report growing allarming news of a German political crisis which brings USA and USSR to face each other in a cliffhanger challenge. A crescendo of strain and suspense finds its climax when, to respond to American fire, Soviets drop nuclear bombs over the United States. Nothing is left but a wrecked contamined waistland for the survivors to ad just with. A TV production with an accademic approach which focuses on the aftermaths of a nuclear war rather than the emotional upheaval caused by the bomb.
